Ship Shape's owner and operator, Patrick Meffert, was born with salt water in his veins. Growing up mere steps from First Beach, he spent his childhood focusing on the 3 S's: surfing, sailing, and spear fishing.
After departing the East Coast for a two-year stint as a snowboarding instructor and Winter Olympics event prep team supervisor in Park City, UT, Patrick felt the pull of the ocean and returned to Aquidneck Island in 2002.
Patrick currently resides in Portsmouth with his wife, Valerie, their two sons, Liam and Cullen, and their dogs, Simon and Bella.
